Need help with wiring alternator from scratch on my 66

If you are going to do this from scratch I would sugest that you upgrade to a 3g alternator now instead of later. Also, when you DO put head lights in, wire in relays for the them instead of having the power run through the light switch.
 
I got mine from a 94 Mustang GT for $45. New, they are over $200

It bolted right in. I had to change the pulley, because I'm still running V-grooves. You don't use the external fan, 'cause the 3G has an internal fan.

If you get one from a Taurus, more than likely you'll have to modify the mounting bracket as they have 8 1/2" between mounting holes.
