If you are going to do this from scratch I would sugest that you upgrade to a 3g alternator now instead of later. Also, when you DO put head lights in, wire in relays for the them instead of having the power run through the light switch.
the pics help, but lol its for my race car so i dont need lights or anyother thing. Didn't the taurus or something come with a 3g alternator. Wheres the best place to get one?
I got mine from a 94 Mustang GT for $45. New, they are over $200
It bolted right in. I had to change the pulley, because I'm still running V-grooves. You don't use the external fan, 'cause the 3G has an internal fan.
If you get one from a Taurus, more than likely you'll have to modify the mounting bracket as they have 8 1/2" between mounting holes.
