Need Help

next time you start it...if it doesn't....jump the selonoid first..

turn the key on and use a screwdriver to join the pos batt terminal to the one w/ the little red/blue wire on it. (right on top)

you'll get a couple sparks...but it will start the car. if not it's the starter itself...have someone turn the key like they are starting it...and rap the starter w/ a hammer..if that starts it, it's the starter for sure, but it's one of the 2

you have to turn the key on...if the key is on and it starts at the selonoid...the selonoid is bad
they are 6 bucks i think...get 2 so you never have to deal w/ it again...i broke one only 2 weeks after i replaced the old one

yup, you got the borg-warner right?

thats what everyone carries, and is also the stocker as well...but yeah i had one that stuck in "start" ... key out of the car and was still turning over....

had to discon the batt cable

2 weeks later...same parking lot...same thing....what a ******

the starter will turn over if you jump the solenoid with the key off. the car simply wont start.

to check the solenoid: do as Notch said - jump the little trigger wire to the battery lug on the solenoid. if the car wont start, now try jumping the two big lugs on the starter solenoid. if the first test fails but this second one works, the solenoid is bad.

good luck.
