Why on earth do my fog lights and headlights no longer work?? Its not a fuse, i have checked them all. I dont see any burnt wires leading to them or anything. I need some ideas on where to start looking thanks. If it helps any, i just put in my offroad H 4 days ago.

Check your headlight switch. These cars were notorious for burning up the headlight switch because the fog light power was just routed from the headlights.

Usually you need to remove the instrument cluster from the dash so you can get your hand behind it. The instrument cluster uses 7mm screws or T15 torx screws. Once you have the instrument cluster loose, you can get your hand on the backside of the headlight/foglight switch and squeeze the tabs on it and push it out throught the front of the cluster. Usually you can tell if its burnt.

ok i got the headlamp/fogs switch out. It seems to click back and forth fine, but im guessing its the wiring in this thing that is smoked. There was a little brownish color on the connector that goes into it for the headlights. How else would i tell if the thing is junked?

Use a meter to check the continuity between the terminals on the switch. If you look at the switch terminals you should see a letter beside each terminal. Check the following for continuity.

Across terminals B1 & H -- Headlamp circuit
Switch position:

Off: Open
Park: Open
Head: Closed

Across terminals B2 & R -- Parklamp circuit
Switch position:

Off: Open
Park: Closed
Head: Closed

Across terminals B & L -- Foglamp circuit (the smaller part of the housing)

Off: Open
On: Closed

BTW, you don't have to remove the instrument cluster bezel just to remove the switches. You can access the locking tabs from the sides of the switch with a flat blade screwdriver. You just depress the tabs to release the switch and wiggle the switch out of the housing.
