Need HELP!!

I have recently purchased an 86 stang. it won't start for me and i have no idea why. this is my 1st mustang so any help would be greatly appreciated!!

No crank or engine cranks but will not fire off?

well the battery for some reason loses charhge. but yes the engine tries to crank but will not fire up

Well does it have spark? if it has spark from the coil to the dizzy then check if it has spark from the dizzy to the spark plugs. If that checks out ensure the care is getting fuel. If it is getting fuel then i guess its time to look at the timming. get your self a book or a good mechanic friend to look at the car.
