with my 66gt. My wife has agreed to let me have $600 this summer to work on my car. I need advice/suggestions of what/where to get exhaust/suspension parts for my car after I fix the brakes so I can get it back on the road.

Thanks for help/advice izzy jr (james)

First, this post belongs under Tech.

Roller spring perches, and if you can do the fabrication or know someone who can, get the roller upper and lower arm kit.

Export brace, monte carlo bar. Cam, intake and carb if needed.

Exhaust - nice factory duals with "K" manifolds. Turbo mufflers. Nothing custom, and it's available from many Mustang vendors.

Suspension - Basics first. Replace anything worn in the front end. Especially if you are power steering. The, go to better shocks, poly bushings, maybe springs if you have any cash left.

May I add another idea? I am running a thread in tech about ignitions - HEAVILLY recommended reading.

thanks guys. I wasn't sure if I should have posted this in the tech section or not, I've mostly just read a few posts on this site but haven't posted much and am still learning my way around the site. I guess I should have mentioned the current condition of the car. 66GT, 68 302 with 70 351w heads, 2brl carb, rebuilt original 3spd c4 auto, 3.00 or 3.10 rear not for sure which one is in it orig owner didn't remember when I bought the car. Interior is striped from replacing floor pans and repainting.

I've been out of the mustang loop for a few years now but all the above advice sounds about right. With the 600 budget, maybe think about ordering from the same vendor to save on shipping costs.

Thanks guys
$600 is just a starting budget to get me going and then adjust and replace necessary parts later as I have the cash. I just want to make sure i'm spending what little money I have wisely and on stuff that will last.
