need help!!

what would cause this on my intake manifold.

Are you running nitrous or anything like that? Looks like a nasty nitrous backfire

It's hard to tell what that is. Is it a sludge build up or is that melted plastic from the manifold? If it's melted plastic then it looks like a bad nitrous back fire like Bob said. If it's sludge, could be leaking valves blowing oil into the manifold, but I dont think that's what it is.
