Please help I have a 1989 ford mustang gt and want to replace all of the original gauges with aftermarket gauges.I was told that shouldn't be done because it will cause a lot of electrical problems. This was told to me by a mechanic is this true? Thanks in advance for any help

Around how much should it cost to have fuel level, oil pressure, water temp, and battery volt gauge installed. If I already have the gauges

Are you using an aftermarket gauge cluster that replaces the factory one? Or mounting them elsewhere?

Going to install them into a 3 pillar pod and a single pod for 4th gauge. I will eventually replace the original cluster for aftermarket cluster jus haven't got the extra cash for the part that replaces factory cluster for aftermarket gauges

What gauges do you have? Electrical? Mechanical?

Every gauge is mechanical besides tachometer I went and bought the tachometer and speedometer today to have all gauges. I plan on taking out old factory cluster out and putting a piece of cutout steel to house all the aftermarket gauges
