1 - Take your time

2 - Don't loose the screws.

3 - Take before photos if you are a cluts (sp?)

4 - Buy a back up TPS to have ready in case you need it. Lots of guys have problems getting them off, or they just don't work right with the new TB. You can always return it if you don't need without having to run to the store. Especially if you are doing it late at night when nothing is open.

5 - Clean your IAC. Why not? It's already out anyway.

6 - Be sure to disconect your battery before you start.

If the idle seems dicked after you have it all together, let me know and I can help. It should idle smoothly at at about the same rpms as it did before the swap.

On my 2002, when removing the EGR valve, the rear bolt (closer to the firewall) required a 10mm (I'm pretty sure it was 10) deep socket. It seemed no other tool would work to get this one out. Make sure you have the correct socket for this one. That was the ONLY trouble I had.

get some intake cleaner at any auto parts store. make sure it says that it is safe for TB's. Just spray it inside the IAC and let it soak for a while. Do it a couple of times and you are done.

Here was my fix for the TPS problem....
If you are unable to get your TPS sensor off, take the old plenum (with TPS) and put it in the freezer for an hour in a bag with some WD-40 on the bolts. Then use a socket adaptor set and you should be able to break the screws loose without ruining the screws.

OK, Charged 96, time for an update...! I'd guess all went well and you're out having a blast with a few new found ponies...
