Got beat by a 98 cobra with 4.30 gears and exhaust. I figured i shoulda beat him but i didnt. I wondered what I could do to get more power. My mods are 3.73 or 4.10 gears, e-cam, and full exhaust. I put out 268 to the wheels and 303 lbs to wheels. So what else could i do i lost by a car length.

hmmm...seeing as a 96-98 cobra puts down 265 hp, i would say it was a pretty damn even race.

Maybe some better traction and shifting might have got you the race......tires/suspension/shifter might have gotten you ahead by a couple cars if you did.....

A '98 cobra is a pretty decent stock car. That 4-valve is just begging for some better flowing intake and exhaust setup.

The mod motor is going to do better with higher rear-end gears 'cause he can rev higher.

with a custom dyno tune but otherwise im pretty sure thats it. And about the traction me and him traded rims cuz i had stock and he had the black fr-500s and they look better on my car. But he side my tires hookup better.
