Howdy,

Well the 5.4 Swap went down hill. I found that my block was cracked and thats why they gave the block to me i guess lol. Anyway I just started my new job at the local Ford Dealership as a Technican, and I have had a bunch of 5.0 stuff laying around for a long time. So I started helping the Master Engine Tech in the shop and he had a 04 Crown Vic 4.6 Liter SOHC just sitting in the corner, so I got curious (DUH I HAVE A NON-PI STANG LOL) and asked him about it. He said it came out of a crown vic with 21,388 miles (And Had Paper Work), He said that the customers got a new motor because they had been in a small accident and because the car was new they wanted a new car, well ford wouldnt give them one so thier insurance company payed for all damages to be fixed and also a new motor. I cant believe I got this lucky. He said he was about to build a 5.0 and need some stuff so i told him what I had and he said he would trade for the whole 4.6, wiring harness and all!!! So today we traded and in my garage I have a 21,000 mile 4.6 liter SOHC. Ok sorry with the story but had to let you guys/gals know the situation.

Question

A 04 Crown Vic motor is PI Right? I know it is just making sure

I am so tickled, I am going build it on my engine stand then put the whole motor in my car. I removed the Oil Pan and Valve Covers and the motor is in AWSOME SHAPE no build up or anything. Heck you can eat of the thing lol.

Thanks For the Help!! I will be starting in the next couple of months!!

ehh i dont know if thats pi or not.....do it right the first time and spend the extra time and or save up so you can forge the motor and put a nice head/cam combo on it, pi is OK but your going to end up wanting more, mine as well do it now...

04 is PI.

Port the heads and throw some nice cams in there.
