I need to buy a new clutch and need recommendations on what to get. I don't want something super stiff and am not looking to buy something really expensive. BTW, i just got this car and it's my first stick, if that changes your decision. Thanks

Ok sounds good. Would you recommend a new clutch quadrant and adjustable cable?

Where should i buy from?

I like my centerforce dual friction, although it is very grabby. Has a great pedal feel, lighter than stock.

If your pressure plate is still good I have a disc with only 500 miles on it for sale.

I have a King Cobra in my car, but when it needs to be replaced, I will get a Spec stage 2 clutch. Just as grabby as the KC, but with a very light pedal. It does cost double the price of the KC though. You can get the KC clutch for $169 at buyfordracing.com

I would not get an adjustable cable, they're all junk. If money permits, get a Ford cable, aluminum quadrant and a firewall adjuster.

That's odd, I went from a KC to a Centerforce DF and had the opposite result. My pedal is noticeably stiffer than before but I it doesn't bother me.

Im going to order a KC from astroperformance since they include a pilot bearing and alignment tool also, for $160. Can someone give me a site to buy a new quad and firewall adjuster?

I just looked and i have a metal quadrant. But, it only has one hook. Is it a pain to remove the clutch cable or should i replace it while the tranny is out? and is it possible that this quadrant is not adjustable?

does anyone have a pic of the tab used to adjust the clutch height?

UMM...i own a spec stage II right now and the pedal effort is anything but light. I have driven KC clutches and they are much lighter than a spec stage II. But i would absolutely recommend the spec clutches...they are by far the most precise clutches...very good pedal feel and accurate/repeatable action. The stage II grabs like an animal...but it is a little harder to drive due to its light switchy nature. I second the OEM cable with the Firewall adj. and quad. good luck man
