Hey guys,

I need new headlights badly, mien are all yellow'ed out.

See pic here:

As you can see, I already have clear corners, can I just buy the headlights or it comes in one piece ? Anyway I can save a buck I would since my clear corners are in good conditions. Are HID very expensive for our cars ? I don't want the ricey look, I just want a clean, non-yellow'ed light.

Thanks for the futur inputs.

I got my clear headlights off ebay. If I remember right, they came with the corners all as a kit. Im pretty sure you could find headlight only combos on ebay though.

Is HID worth it ?...

If I buy a set of headlight, i can put this

http://cgi.ebay.ca/Xenon-HID-Headli...ryZ36476QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

in it and it'll be hid-like ?

Can you "open" the headlight to change the bulbs and put HID in it or it's sealed ?

you could buy new headlights or you can get one of those headlight restore kits and buff the haze out. then put a clear coating on the lense and you should be good. i put the silverstar bulbs in my headlights and they are way brighter than the stock bulbs, way cheaper than hids.

id go smoked, IMHO with a 6000 or a 8000k HID

but if ur tryin to save a buck, yes, ebay would be a good bet. the 6000ks is more like the stock Lexus light. and the 8000k is more of a whitish blue

True HID might be possible for our cars, but it would be very expensive compared to a headlight kit replacement.

If you want a good clean look, get clear headlights. Even a standard bulb will be significantly better than your yellowed lights.

Blue Oval Industries has good deals on clear and ultra clear kits (headlights and corners) which allows everything to match visually. You can get just the headlights too if that's all you want.

I've had my BOI kit for at least 3 years now and no leaks or glazing. They still look brand new.

I would not do HIDs unless you have lenses made for them (read OEM HID projector assemblies). Otherwise you end up with lackluster lighting and/or scattered light (we all have had those douchebags drive at us at night - there's no upper limit on the beamline).

Bosko (IIRC) had a nice thread about his true HID retrofit.

Good luck.
