Need New Tires (Kumho ASX) Need pics if you have 'em.

I am going to purchase some new tires:


Kumho ECSTA ASX (KU21)
225/55/R16
W Speed Rated
420 Treadwear

Don't worry about the tirerack, I am going to buy them at Discount Tire, out the door for $580 I think.

My question is regarding the profile, and any other info you all have about the ASX.

Should I stick to the 55 profile, or go lower. My guess is that it will look funny if I get 50.

I considered 245 on the front and rear, but I have read about rubbing issues on the front with 245. Is this true?

I know the rear is a bit close with a 245, but if I am going to get new tires I really want to have the same size so I can rotate them easier.

I have 245/50 all around and they rub at full lock on the front. No rubbing in back. If I corner hard the fronts rub when not at full lock. Mine are Nitto 450's, they run small, goodyear 245's are much wider.

If they are going on stock 7" rims, stick to the original size. I had 225/50/16's on the front and they rubbed too. A wider tire on a stock wheel will make it handle badly on the street. Mine wanders sometimes when I hit lines or grooves in the road. My front tires are just too wide. I did this so I could rotate them. The Nittos are barely wider than the BFG 225/55's I took off. HTH.
