Need Opinions about purchasing an Older Paxton Novi 2000 or other goodies.

I could use some advice on the older Paxton Novi 2000's. From my research the older Novi's had self contained oil, unlike the new one's which are fed from the oil pan. What are your opinion's. The reason I ask , is because I can get my hands on a complete rebuilt never been used older polished novi 2000 for $2000. Is this worth it? I heard if these older superchargers had problem it cost almost $700.00 to fix. Any opinions are appreciated, I just feel, $2000.00 is a heck of a deal, but you all might feel different.
Or I plan on, buying some bigger heads (edelbrock victor jr's) and intake with an x-303 cam and 70mm throttle body?
