Just laid my T5 bell on the motor, and it looks like the cable is pointing right at the downpipes of my tri-y header. Hmm, not sure if I can just bend the cable towards the oil pan to make it go around? Seems like a bad deal, so what headers are you running that have good room for the cable? Thanks.

Ford powertrain is coming out with full length headers for this application. I do not know when they will be available but their web site says spring 2005.

i know how you feel

i had the same problem. i found a buddy who sold me some Sanderson Block Huggers. they have great performance, maybe even better than long tubes. they are a little high priced, but they are worth it. hope it works out, but it may be cheaper to go with the hydraulic. good luck

I have Hooker Comps. I had to pull the cable to the side temporarilly with a zip tie to keep it off the header. No big deal. I'll clean it up properly later.
