I am thinking of redoing some of my interior that needs attention and was wondering what you guys think. I have a Red 92 GT with Titanium/Black Interior and was thinking of replacing the carpet with black, re-upholstering seats with Mach 1 Black Vinyl, changing arm rest pads on doors to black and leaving everything else pretty much stock colors. Thought it might look good with more black but not sure I am visualizing accurately how it will look and I don't want it to look cheesy.

Thanks for any input.

Sounds pretty good. Have fun with that carpet. That console is a pain to get out. You should also do something about the map pockets...they're usually pretty torn up and ugly.

Too much black may not look good either.

I agree about the carpet and seats, but leave it at that. If you start changing trim to black, it may be too much

Yeah mine aren't bad except stretched out and slightly discolored but not bad in comparison to others I have seen. I have to replace the lower center console anyway because the ebrake boot is totally gone and I haven't figured out how to replace it without replacing the whole piece. I figure once I do that and with relocating the battery hopefully, redoing the seats, installing new radio with a custom panel I am making to relo the a/c controls I might as well do the rest!!

Thanks for the input

Yeah I haven't totally decided on changing the arm rests but with the black trim on the top edge of the door panel I thought it might look pretty good - especially with some billet pw/pl switches!!

Thanks for the input

Yeah a little bit!! Plus I am going to clean-up my engine bay and hide some wires and polish some pieces like Almost Stock did. Only thing is I am going to attempt it while the engine is still in!! Seeing this is the first car I have ever really worked on it should be interesting and fun and a good learning experience too!!

You're going to polish parts while they're still on the car? As someone who's spent farrrr too much polishing aluminum...I wouldn't, you can't even imagine the mess and difficulty you'll have getting it to look decent

Let me clarify -

I am pulling as much as possible out of the engine bay to hide wires, clean, and try to paint using a detail sprayer with out fully pulling the engine. I am just going to cover it real well. I know it will be a pain but I don't have the ability right now to pull the motor so I am going to do what I can for now to make it show better.

Not sure if you mean you wouldn't polish at all or just not with things on the car?

After owning a vehicle with a highly detailed engine bay...I would definately steer away from it if done all over again. Polished alum can be quite high maintenance..especially if water/condensation is an issue....just my experience.
