I am installing a Kenwood EZ500 soon, havent bought it yet, and I got around to running the wiring for the rear 6x9's and the front 6 1/2's. Now I am wondering on how to get power from the battery to the fuse box to the deck. I don't really know how to explain it that well.

How would I run power from the fuse box to the headunit? So when I turn on the ignition, the cd player turns on, like in newer cars. Is it possible with the factory fuse box? Or do I need to buy something else?

Also, how did you guys with modern cd players in your dash secure them in place?

you can use the key switched wire on the ignition switch,or use a fuse tap and get power from one of the key switched circuits or or you can put the red and yellow to constant power so you dont need a key to use the radio, but remember to shut the radio off.
