My oil leak is bad. It is enough where I smell oil constantly and sometimes (even under normal driving) the exhaust will smoke (oil drips on it). My low oil light came on about a month and a half after I just put new oil in if that gives an indication. Surely it isn't the pan at all

Rear leaks are a mother...I'm still trying to determine wether my little drip is a result of a lil RMS leak or oil pan. I had oil on the dust sheild but also on the oil pan bolts...I RTV the pan bolts and reinstall..yes the leak is down to a half hearted trail down the dust shield, but it's kind of a strange point of origin and still not convincing me it's a RMS...I HATE oil leaks. Dave I wish you all the best and hope you nail it first time. Keep us updated. Other than that are you still enjoying the car??

Sorry Derek for the late response, forgot about the thread. Yeah still enjoying the car as my only car besides it's little quirks like the leak.

Bump for the part number and suggestions for the best sealing rear main? Install tools?
