2008 Mustang GT with a Shaker500 that head unit is starting to go. What would be a good replacement? It's got those tricky low impedance door subs. New upper door speaker recommendations along with back speaker recommendations are appreciated also.
I just need AM/FM and I have a I-phone so hands free would be nice. If in price range maybe a GPS Nav.
Trying to stay under 300.00 for head unit plus install so 500.00 max. Then more for speaker upgrades possible.

Thanks all

Yeah I know it's 6 months later.

I upgraded my 05 to a double din for under $300 from Crutchfield. Made it easy with their ready harness.

I just added a Ford Factory Navigation radio I picked up for $85 from craigslist out of a Taurus X and then I bought the map CD off Ebay for $10 and a GPS antenna for $19 off Ebay. works pretty good, and looks stock.

Forgot to add I have the kicker/shelby full system, except my back deck speakers are polk audio. Before my nav radio I swapped out for a Shaker 1000 unit because my car originally started life with a Shaker 500. Pretty noticible difference between the 500 and 1000 even without the sub, just in head unit alone its worth the swap.
