I've been working on my Mustang today getting it ready to try and go to the local track Saturday. I've got the upper intake off and replaced the fuel pressure reg. with my adjustable one. I pulled the valve covers off so I could put polylocks on the rocker arms, and I've discovered that several of my driver side rocker arms are damaged. Two of them are flat spotted on the roller tip and around that area.
It looks as if the rocker arms have been able to shift side to side as they moved. Has anyone ever seen this? I guess I'll be replacing the rockers with a new set, but I would like to know how to prevent this from happening again. What set of rockers should I buy now? The ones on there are aftermarket 1.6's. Any recomendations? Any and all help would greatly be appreciated.
