Actually, if you run it the other way in series - B&M cooler first, then the radiator cooler, you'll solve your potential low temp problem. If the B&M overcools it in the winter, the radiator cooler will at least help to take it back up towards the coolant temp (180F-190F).
Oh sorry,I now see that you live in Arkansas and you actually have winters there.I live in Florida so having the tranny too cold really isn't much of a problem.If you got any problem hooking up the lines you can drop the tranny and install -AN fitting and run braided or blue silocon rubber hose.As for mounting I got no idea as I have an 86' GT with no air (yes,I know it sucks having no air in Flordia) so I just mounted it in front of the radiator (I got a HUGE fan so cooling is no problem).Sorry again if I was confusing.
You guys run your Stangs in the winter Way too cold up here to do that. The easiest way to plumb the cooler is to remove the lines as they go into the radiator and just slip them fittings and all into the rubber hoses that come with most kits. A couple of hose clamps and your done. Mine has been like that for 10 years and going strong.
One of you guys asked if a cooler was really necessary for a stock aod, cheap insurance in my opinion and well worth the money on any aod, stock or highly modded.
If you look at the on Jeg's about the B&M cooler, you would see that it is designed so that the fluid bypasses the cooler when cold. Personally, I would not eleminate the stock cooler, but hook it up in series. The B&M won't cool much when you're stuck in traffic.
