So i went out today to get the parts to get all the parts i needed for my gear install, and i had a couple questions for you guys. (And yes I've read the guides)

First off, I purchased the 4.10 FMP Gears for my 02 gt.

So far I've picked up: All of the sockets, in/lb tq wrench, and the digital caliper

Tomorrow I plan on running to Harbor freight and picking up a 2" or larger micrometer, and a magnetic base and dial indicator. The guide says I also need a press, but it does not specify what kind it is, can someone clarify this?

Also, what weight of rear end fluid should i Use, and how much will i need?

Is there anything else I should need to pick up? (Crush collars, shims... etc?)

Thanks alot!

(and if anyone knows of any more detailed guides, please lmk!)

Use 75-140 synth with 4oz of friction modifier (unless you go with Royal Purple, they pre-mix the friciton modifier into their gear oil)

If you do not know what else "I should need to pick up" you have not read/studied carefully enough and are not ready to do the install yet grasshopper :D

Only one I know they have is a 1" cen-tech, and a base for it, unless you're talking about a dial/digital caliper
