Need some DVD bypass help

I have the Pioneer AVH 4200 DVD. I watched this short video on how to bypass but I cant get it to work right.

I am assuming I have to do something different because I used the wiring harness to be able to connect it to the shaker 500 system.

Is there an easier way with a switch rather than using the relay as shown in the video?

Any help would be appreciated

The whole key is to send -12v to the parking brake wire AFTER the unit powers up. You could do this manually with a switch, however the relay does this for you. How did you wire in the relay?

i have done 5 of these followed the video with no issues ever make sure all your wires are on the right posts
