I got some new tires recently (bfg g force sports 275/40/17) and the only rubbing problems I've had so far is just all the way to lock (not a huge deal...). After me and friends went to go see 300 on Friday as we were coming down the parking garage i decided to do a little 1st-2nd "take off if you will... (not a burnout)"
and then i noticed the next day theres a low pitched whine coming from the rear end ONLY when turning right, NOTHING when left.... I cant see any signs of rubbing front or back and thats why I'm suspecting something in the rear end. When we put the back in the air my dad and i discovered the traction lok is probably getting a bit old (easy to overcome). Had 3.73 when i bought the car but don't know whether they rebuilt the traction lok.
I'm going to buy a rebuild kit for the traction lock and a ratech install kit. Any suggestion on things to check that would make that kind of noise (only when turning right....)
Thanks,
David
