i'm finishing the interior swap in my buddies 97 GT. i have run into a problem i cannot figure out. the turn signals do not work along with the brake lights. when i turn the right signal on i will flash only the front bulb very quickly. when i turn on the left flasher it makes a buzzing noise at the flasher module and doesnt do anything at all. the brake lights also do not work at all. when i turn on the headlights the high and low beams work perfectly but none of the exterior lights work. the wiper work half way. they will turn on but it you turn them off they will not return to the bottom of the windshield. the sprayer for the windshield doesnt work either. most of these problems seem to related to the multifunction switch. i have replaced the switch and all the symptoms remain the same.

i have checked all the fuses and everything is good. if anyone has any ideas what the problem might be please let me know!!

Ben

i FINALLY finished the full interior swap and all i can say is i would never do that again for less than $500!! the wiring for the seats was a nice little challenge too. i now know that 97 and 01 seats will bolt up the same but the wiring is ALL different! we did manage to get it all working correctly with some "custom" work

i do have to say that his 97 GT is SEXY now. a new interior can completely change a car!!

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Not much of a difference between the 1994-2004 interior.

he had the tan/black interior with tan cloth seats. now he has a full dark charcoal interior and all the leather seats out of my car the tan looked terrible on his red car so we swapped it out for the black, added tinted cobra headlights, he is going to tint the windows and now it looks like a new car!!
i'll let him post up on his new engine combo but in short he will have my old bottom end with LOTS of N/A goodies on it. we're hoping to break 300 to the wheels and then start the spray and hit 400!
