I picked up a 1978 mustang ant the last owner replaced the motor, he did a crappy job, first thing I noticed is he installed the pulley on the water pump backwards, im un sure how the belts go on could someone post pictures?
Well mines not stock, but the pulleys themselves are. The water pump pulley should inset into the water pump. The belt then goes in the middle groove of your crank pulley and to your alternator. Alot of times the spacer for the alternator got missplaced and rigged up, so make sure the alternator pulley is is pretty straight with the water pump pulley.
