ok i am getting that SCT tuner but i need to get the guy my computer number he told me where to find it but i am haveing no luck so can any one help me as to where i can find it. my car was repainted so it is not on the passanger door.

Look on your ecm down behind the passenger side kick panel.There should be a sticker with the 4 digit code.

Let me know when you get it if the SCT tuner reads the saleen flash. I also am going to order the XCAL 2 and have heard from some that it will read the saleen flash, and some say it wont and you have to have the computer reflashed back to the ford tune.

the guy i am buying it from own amazone racing shop and he told me he does Saleen's all the time, he works with manely mustangs. He told me the SCT tuner will save the saleen tune and store it and then hold up to three other tunes, so if i ever wanted to put the Saleen tune back on i can. But anyway yeah when i get it i will let you know how it works he is going to overnight it to me so i should have it tomorrow maybe thursday allso if you buy from him he will give you a life time of tunes when ever you need one.

Josh is correct. The SCT XCalibrator II will read the Saleen tune and store it for you in case you want to return the car back to the original Saleen tune. If someone is telling you that you have to reflash the car in order to use the XCal II, they done't have the slightest idea of what they are talking about. The Predator, however, will require you to get a stock GT flash before programming can begin. I've had both and would never use the Predator system again.

I have the SCT Xcal II on my 03 Saleen as well and it overwrites the Saleen Flash, and also stores the stock saleen flash.

Mike at Kemperformance.com did my tune and did an amazing job if anyones interested...

to the guys that have the SCT Xcal 2, did you get it dyno tuned by the place or is it a mail order tune? If mail order, how on was it?

well the one i am getting they email you the tune. the guy quoted me about 20 to 30 rwhp gain so we will see.

I have the SCT Xcal2 on my 2004 S281-SC and it is awesome...really woke it up from the PowerFlash. As far as I know, it is the only handheld tuner that works with the Saleen PowerFlash. The original Xcal, Predator, and others won't work.

You only need to provide the guy the numbers on your computer if you want a custom tune from him...which I really wouldn't recommend. Same place I purchased mine (Blow-By Racing via eBay) asked for the number and offered me two free tunes, but I declined.

I would recommend just buying the tuner and taking it to your local dyno shop that deals with (or knows how to tune with) the SCT Xcal2. It took my shop 1.5 hours to get my car tuned to where I wanted it (11.5 to 11.8:1 A/F at WOT). The mail order tunes are cheap and close...but I wouldn't want to risk it with my car and the amount of money I already have invested.
