Ok..I am getting my intake all ready for powdercoat and am getting the HORRIBLE perf. prod. elbow to match the lines of the exlporer, in the area of were it bolts too, by sanding and grinding the HELL out of it. I has taking me like 3-4hrs to get it matched on 3 1/4 sides. It looks great.

I want to do the same to the end that bolts to the t-body.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
HERE is my question/favor to ask. I want to get a 70mm T-body in the spring and am running the stocker now. Is the back plate area of the aftermarket t-body close to or the same size/shape of the stocker? If I go threw the trouble to match it and then its off with a diff. t-body by a LOT then I will just square up this end so its atleast nice.

so if anyone out there that has an aftermarket t-body and still has there stocker could look/let me know if they are the same, like side by side close or something.

Thanks guys.

It's close.
It'll depend slightly on the brand. i believe that above 70 is a differnt plate size.

I was looking at pics in a search and noticed some had the "stock" type look and others seem to be straighter more boxy' were the t-body mounts...

Just a quality in casting or cutting. Once again, you'll have to check ahead.

I will have to research the t-body purchase more closely then...Was looking at BBK/Edlb. as my first choice. Looks like I will just square it off.

The only reason I bought the perf. prod. elbow was I planned on smoothing it down from day 1...damn what a hunk of rough casting that thing is. I will have t say the fitment is quite poor.

Thanks again :SNSign:
