I just swapped in a new auto tranny on my 98 and well first off I can't tighten the top bolt on my starter...when I got it off it was by luck and now I can't seem to get it all the way back in. Well it probably wasn't the best idea in the world but since I had two of the 3 bolts securely in the starter I decided to try and start it up, and when I did all it does is make this nasty grinding noise and doesn't even turn the engine over. I'm stumped, I folowed every step out of my haynes manual so i'm oretty sure I did everything right. I don't know what to do...any help would be appreciated.

You are going to have to get the third bolt tightened down. If you slightly loosen the other two, you can get to the third using multiple extensions by coming at it from in front of the front tire. PITA, but with a little persistance you should be able to get it.
