Hello. I need to get new tires for my 2000 Mustang GT that has 18” Saleen rims. I do not have much experience with tires yet, so I am looking for advice / feedback. I am looking to get tires that are sporty but definitely not top of the line. Tires that will run good through the crazy curvy roads I have around here.

Any advice / help / wisdom very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I think the best bang for the buck is the BFG-g force sport.
I am currantly running Yokohama S-drive and love them but they cost
a bit more. Just dont get some cheap ass tire like Sumatomo's......
They are actually made out of recycled flip flops.

Ya, i have some sumitomo's on my car now. They came with it when i bought it back in dec. Unfortunately they are brand new so i have to wait a little to buy some better ones. I was fairly impressed with them on dry roads for a cheap tire, and i was able to manage a 13.8 on them at the track, but in wet weather I might as well be using my drag radials!

Good performance tires with budget in mind:
Sumitomo hrz III (long lasting, good traction)
Azenis RT615 (good dry traction, wear pretty quickly, cheap price))
Dunlop Direzza z1 (incredible dry traction, cheap price)
Yokohomo es100 (pretty good wet/dry traction, cheap price, long lasting)
If you can fork the dough, this would be my choice:
Brigestone RE01-R (pretty pricy tire, very good traction, quiet on the road, last pretty long considering the grip level)

I really like the Falkens on my car...they last, do well around the corners, and good in the rain...and at a very reasonable price....theyre not great at the strip, but thats why I have slicks...If you want something to run at the track once in a while, I may suggest the BF Goodrich G-Force, or even the BFG KDW/KDWS

I love my Potenzas in dry hot weather but plan to slap on some Nitto's shortly.

I have Nitto 555s and they are excellent. Good dry and wet traction. Not noisy, and so far the tread wear seems good (for 1,000km )

I may have the best bang for the buck tires on my car right now. Very reasonable price and they perform pretty well.
