alright, i have somehow misplaced my haynes manual and i was needing to know what the torque on tightening header bolts are. also what sequence do they need to be tightened in, if any. thanks in advance.
Well, no sequence that I'm aware of. You'll be lucky if you can get a socket on the bolts, I couldn't, so I just snugged them all real good with a wrench and haven't had any problems. Anyway, Hayes says 18-24 lb-ft for everything, 26-32 lb-ft for the Cobra.
Yea, loctite is a good idea, 2 of my header bolts pulled themselves out and I retorqued by hand... you do not want the noise a loose header gives... makes you want to make a sharp turn into a center divider.
