Need to replace my Z-Bar on 65 Need help

As it says, I finally got my rack from Unisteer in. Hmm had to mod a few things for that project...But now its in, nice and fitted and BAM ! The z-bar cannot fit around the steering shaft for the Rack & Pinion..

Are you kidding ??????

So now I have some options I guess.

I run a toploader, that does need some refreshing(2nd gear is a bitch under load)

I have toyed with going to a PA C4 or AOD and tossing in a BM ratchet for fun at the track and no miss gears..

But I would really hate to toss out my top loader even if I need a refresh done on it. I been looking around this sight and I have seen a hydrallic setup from JMC, and I was wondering are there any other options I could use that would clear my steering shaft and finally get my car back on the rd.

You can also go with a cable clutch option. Talk to Modern Driveline or maybe mustangsteve.com

Got any pics ? If you make the U-joint too close to the firewall, you can loose laot of space like that. I've gotten a few R&P systems to fit with Z-bars. But I always keep the shaft as long as possible.
