need to roll fender lip for 17x8's and 17x9.5's?

Do I need to roll the fender lips for 17x8's and 17x9.5's?

www.dodgestang.com, pick your year. But the basic answer would be: Absolutely not. But when you stick tires on them, perhaps. It all depends on the tire size - there's a wide range of rubber you could put on those.

no way on the front with front stock suspension

I have 17x8 with 245/40/17 front
and 17x9.5 with 275/40/17 rear
on a 68 (basically the same) I didnt need to roll the fender lips.

However backspacing has a very important role, do you know what your backspacing on your wheels is?

I'm looking at 17x8 w 4.5" bs and 17x9.5" w 5.5" bs

That's the wheel size I'm running... HAD to roll the lips.

I run 17x8's with 225/45/17's and 234/45/17s... No fender rolling or rubbing.
