Need to roll my window up ...duh

OK , this is an odd one..

I have a 91 hatch....everything is out of the engine bay ..and I mean everything...Im getting ready to paint it...here is my problem I forgot to roll my drivers side power window up before I started pulling everything out..I guess I just never thought about taking the car out of the garage..oops...duh

Is there a way I can roll the power window up, since Ive pulled all the wiring o out of the bay. ....could I just hook the battery directly to the window motor, or is there something I can crank manually..i was hoping I didnt have to take the door apart.

I tried hooking my battery back together and ground in the engine bay, but that didnt work, I guess I would have to reinstall alot more stuff for it to work that way.

figure out which wire is positive and negative for the window motor and, and you suggested, just hook a 12v battery source to it and it should actuate the window motor and roll up the window, I'd assume. I can't think of any reasons why it wouldn't work

yes that will work,you can use a battery from a cordless drill or you can remove the 3 10 mm bolts on the motor and pull the window up and then put the motor back.

I bet you were shootin' yourself in the foot when you realized that you left the window down....haha
