Need torque value for '90 2.3 front caliper.

Front brake caliper bolts. The Torx jobbies! Anybody know the torque value for those bolts?

Take 150lbs and hang it on the end of a 6ft pipe...that should get'em tight enough....





Just kidding don't do that.

40-60ft-lbs for 5.0 calipers...dont know about the 4bangers but i can't see why they wouldnt be far off from that.

Thanks for the replies. I broke 2 Torx bits getting the bolts off...even after PB Blaster and 1 of the bits was an impact version!

I replaced my brakes 4 times now and never torqued them once. Guess I have dumb luck huh.

Can't hurt to torque them. At least you know you got it like the factory designed it...which is USUALLY a good thing.

I just did 3 brake jobs this last weekend and did not torque one of them.

Didn't you mention "dumb luck" before? Well, there ya' go!

If I have the torque values I'll use 'em...
