We swapped a C6 Tranny (3 speed auto w/transbrake) into my 88 Notch and mated it to my 408 over the winter. I just took the car out of the shop on Monday to bring it home. When I drove it through the parking lot and shifted into second gear the car totally locked up, wheels totally stopped turning. I may as well have put it in park. We tested it and every other gear works fine even 3rd. Put it on jack stands and checked the shift gates and band adjustment and everything is fine. What the heck could cause this? Tranny is new and the guy who built it for me is giving me lifetime warrantee on it but still i want the car working. Any ideas? The tranny guy is coming by tomorrow to take a look at it but even he is stumped right now.
