Hey guys, need your help

I have a 99 GT with a cracked intake manifold , I have about $600 to spend, here's my problem I was looking at the Typhoon but the more I read on it they don't seem so hot. Do any of you have a typhoon and how do you like it?, or does anybody know of a good intake manifold that I could get for around $600? I will be getting a nitrous system coming this June so I don't want to go back to the plastic manifold. Any thoughts will be helpful Thanks

How much nitrous are you running? The plastic intake should be just fine for you. If you really need an aluminum intake the typhoon isn't all that great. I'd look for a used bullitt intake, TFS, or the hardball'r (if its still available )

I looking to run a 125 shot, so you think the plastic one will hold up?

A plastic manifold will deal just fine with a 125HP shot. It's the backfires that may occur that it won't handle.

Fix the cause of any backfiring and the intake will live a long and happy life funneling all the N2O you want.

Thanks sounds good to me, I know Ford Racing has a improved intake manifold that they use on 01 to 04 with the aluminum cross over for $199 at American Muscle. What is the cause for a backfire to occur, is this something that can just happen or can it be prevented? Thanks
