....we are going to have 5 to 8 inches of snow tomorrow. So the garage is where it will sit.

Just to answer some of the questions from other topics: It was an order, on X-plan and took 9 weeks for me to drive home.

Now the big question I must answer is to stripe or not stripe????? I paid for stripes (but the dealers vendor did not have enough to go bunper to bumper), but it looks nice with out them, but then again it looks good, in other pcitures on the internet, with stripes. Guess I will pull a chair up in the garage and stare at the car........

Here are some pics from the garage:

Go ahead and stripe it!!!!!! I agree with black OR perhaps charcoal metallic/dark gray. I love the look of the rocker panel stripes along wih the LeMans stripes.

http://www.graphic-express.com/y-ordering_color_samples.asp

I'm waiting on getting the Roush front fascia, rear spoiler and Steeda cowl hood before I LeMans stripe mine.

ConGrats! Now clean that garage floor this weekend so that pony will have a clean stable and do some striping next week! I agree with a black and or charcoal stripe!

The ONLY thing I could see doing with THAT color is a "Parnelli Jones" look.

I was scheduled to have stripes put on today(torch red, going with white stripes. But it's freaking snowing here in RI so I have to go plow, and won't take the pony out of the barn in the white stuff anyway. re-scheduled to Monday.

I saw a Mustang yesterday same color with dual black stripes on hood and entire body. I didn't care for them.
It's your car, though, please yourself.

Thanks for replies. I am currently printing color photos of similar cars so I can sit in the garage and stare at it. Of course that is after I shovel all the damn snow.

I was thinking the same thing, that or the PJ striping, I'd do that if I had a Grabber Orange.

Had I been able to afford to get the '07, I woud have gotten the Grabber Orange IF I also had enough money to help break up ALL that orange. Something Like Cervini's M1 package plus black rocker panel stripes. The S197 in the retro MACH and BOSS schemes look TOUGH!!!!!

I have the same color, and am interested in white stipes as well. Where did you get them, and how much is the install?

Chin Spoiler......

For the guys and gals that live in snow areas, you will not need to shovel the snow with the Cervini Chin spoiler. <<please don't kill me>>

Farlow, may I suggest Alloy striping? It is far more subtle. The black on orange would be very "in your face." Keep us 'posted.'

Best to you.

Now that the roads are plowed I was able to take it down the NYS thruway to get a feel for it. Very different then my 1997 GT. This car just wants to go. I have learned a two things:
1) Shifting is much different in a new car then the one I have been driving for 9 years. Embarrased to say I stalled it a few times in first.
2) When getting out of someones slushy driveway take off traction control.

One issue I did notice, it takes a heavy push to shut the engine hood. Is this usually for this model car?
Thanks.

Actually, I called my salesman and he told me the place that all the local Ford dealerships send the cars out for srtripes. He's charging me $675. On a Mustang at the dealership with a whole big $8000 trim package, they listed the stripes as a $1000 option.

I almost bought my car in Grabber Orange, but I decided on the Vista blue. I sometimes wish that I had bought the orange one....

I'm happy with my personal desicion, but I'll tell you what I've seen around here.... Every single grabber orange car I've seen in the city has black stripes. They do look great on the car, but it's getting a little old. Unless you get a differenct style, or different color (like white), I'd avoid it. I personally like the orange and black stripes, but I LOVE the plain orange.....
