well i just got back from florida sat at 4 am, went to the track for its season opener sunday morning. I ran a best of 14.3 on a 100 shot of nitrous. I had a 2.5 60',(on street tires) and bounced off the rev limiter in almost every gear. I never had a problem with hitting the rev limiter with my 4.10's, but when im running nitrous it does it constantly. Im going to need a chip and some d/r's immideatly. I'll post my complete timeslip up here later, i just got on for the first time in a week and a half. (by the way, what happend in here??)

Do you have any times from before the nitrous for comparison? And what was the MPH? It is obvious you were having traction problems with the 2.5 60'.

BTW the server crashed or something and everything was lost from jan 3rd to March 30th. I think thats what you meant by what happend in here.

60'- 2.364 (best all day)
1/8- 9.363
mph- 79.4
1/4- 14.3
mph- 97.6

Before nitrous i had a best of 15.2 at 91 mph.. My mph has always been slow as hell.... After that run, i was running 14.6's all day...I found out later that my tire pressure was at 40 psi, the tire pressure guage at work is broken and i filled the tires up without even thinking about it, and then i forgot to drop the pressure at the track. Its an automatic so its not like i mean to hit the rev limiter, i need my shift points changed but that cost 300 bucks for a chip. And i am shooting the nitrous in 2nd gear..Im going to the track again sunday so i should have some better times..

with a 100 shot of nitrous i better be running in the 13's,, i feel like an idiot at the track running nitrous and still getting beat by 5 speed sn95's that are pretty much stock.

Mathematically if you pull a 2.0 60' time you've got your 13 second run, I personally think your car should be faster than what you've posted (along with everyone else).

A stiff shift kit will help, but ultimately that rev limiter will have to be raised. I wouldn't worry about a speedcal, once you get the rev limiter up (you're hitting at 5500 aren't you?) you'll be fine. Personally, I just shifted early to avoid the limiter when I had an auto and 4.10's.

Put the 100 dollars of a speedcal towards some sticky tires, radials or et streets. They will make a world of difference.

Oh, and you're not banging that rev limiter on the spray, are you???

Story's like this are the reason I opted for 3.73's. I have seen numerous people put 4.10's in their AODE and run still run slow. I think the chip is a good idea if you are going to continue to juice it. Hitting the rev limiter on nitrous is asking for trouble (not saying you are doing it on purpose) so I would lay off the juice until you get the chip. But that's just me. Once you get that taken care of D/R's will work wonders. I was running similar 60's on street tires and when I switched to nitto d/r's I cut my 60's down to 2.08 which was pretty good I thought considering its a stock auto tranny. Good luck.

i did bang it a couple of times on juice, it felt like it was about to shift and then it didnt... Opps...., i honestly dont care if i break some **** because that will just make me buy that stroker kit and do the 5-speed swap ive been putting off. I knew my times would suck since i didnt put those drag radials on yet, but i just had to see what nitrous would do to my times on street tires.

when you get 4.10's you have to recallibrate your computer. your car is still using the 2.73's shift points if you haven't fixed your computer. that could be costing you lots of time.
