Heh! I grew up (3rd through 12th grade) near there. Dairy Ashford between Memorial and Westheimer. Ashford Forest to be specific, just north of Briar Forest way back before it became a through street. My mother still lives just north of I-10 at Kirkwood. I assume you went to Stratford? I got bussed into town near the galeria to Robert E Lee, Hilcroft near Richmond.jbsteven said:

Isn't thoroughbred class for concourse restored? This baby belongs in an unrestored class, like the survivor class or something. He'd get his rear end (bumper) handed to him by the $40K-restocost trailer-queens with wheel-wells you could eat off of.

Yeah, thoroughbred is for guys who dig up date-coded marker light bulbs and only use NOS head gaskets, etc. Give this car a scrubdown and it'll fit in nicely in Survivor class.Edbert said:

whne did they add the survivor class? this is the first i've heard of it. maybe, i was thinking of something else when i said thoroughbred, i thought there was a class original unrestored cars, that allowed only NOS parts as replacements. maybe i'm combining thoroughbred and survivor in my head. but then again i haven't been to a concourse judged show in over 10 years either
