New 2014 Mustang

So I just recently bought a new 2014 red mustang coupe manual. Is there anything I should know about it, or any advice? I.e. Running the car, the clutch, or even making it look nicer?

As far as "breaking it in", I would just avoid long highway trips that maintain a constant RPM for the first 100-300 miles. Its better to break it in with varying RPM. As far as the clutch...nothing really. Have you owned/operated a manual transmission in the past? I wouldn't do anything differently.

As far as making it look nice, don't ever bring it through an automatic car wash or use a buffer/oscillating polisher. You will get tons of swirl marks. Swirl makes are especially noticeable on the Race Red color.

But no, I have to drive 5 hours to get it. Then drive it back, and it's going to be on the autobahn. So how fast should I drive it?

Thanks! As far as washing it, I always wash my cars myself. Lol. Automatic car washes don't do the job correctly.

Just vary you speed on the autobahn. I would change the rpms every 30 min or so if using cruise. These cars really do not need a break in other than what the owners manual suggests. You can locate that on line to read up on your car before you get it.

Majority of cars have a 4k miles break in period. so change your oil at 3k miles. and to make it look good my friend....theres millions of combinations to make a mustang look different...

Never seen a 4000 mile break in on a newer Mustang. Maybe I missed it but there was not a big notice in the manual. My 2011 was maybe 1000 miles....if that.
