The 2nd closest to the firewall on drivers side lower head stud is leaking a bit off coolant. I used ARP thread sealer but I need to know if I should wait on taking that one stud out resealing it and re torqueing it to see if it will seal itself? I put maybe 30 miles on the motor so far after starting it on saturday. I also heard that a bit of leaking through studs is pretty common. I have searched this site as well as others and have read that it happens alot. Thanks guys

You should be able to pull that one stud safely and coat that SOB with Permatex blue. Leaking around any bolt or stud that goes into a water passage is fairly common from what I've heard/read, so just seal that thing up again, and let 'er rip!

the lower ones feed into the waterjackets.. . Pull that one bolt and coat it in silicon and pop it back in

I coated all of the lower studs with ARP Thread sealer dunno why just 1 is leaking but I will drain the coolant out of the block pop that stud out a coat it again. I have permatex high temp sealer. Should I use that on this 1 stud instead of silicone or blue permatex or just reseal it with the ARP stuff. Thanks for the replies.

I'm not sure if it was in the directions for my TW heads, or with the ARP studs I got, but the Permatex blue is what they specified to use. You could probably use the ARP sealer, since I highly doubt they'd sell a crappy sealer. Just put a good amount on, and you should be good to go.

i would not use the arp stuff. . . go with some good old fashioned silicon

Yeah I know TFS specified to use blue permatex. I used it on the accessory plugs for the brackets but not on the studs. Thanks again
