I just recently bought a house that has a garage so I am looking to sell my daily driver fox 1990 mustang and looking to purchase a 66 stang for a resto mod project.

I am thinking of a 66 hard top (non numbers matching)
Adding a 351W and a t-5 or t-6 (possibly crate engine)
Disk Brakes
Power Steering
Tourqure wheels
9" rear (if needed) with 3:73 gears
Mild Suspension Upgrades to make it handle

Am I missing anything? Will this be a desirible car, I want to be able to sell it for a decient price down the road? I also want to have lots of power, any ideas on the quarter mile numbers it might turn?

Thougths?

Thanks

Depending on how you build the 351W, a T5 might be a touch delicate behind it, depending on how the T5 is built. Is that vague enough? Sorry, just saying be careful with the combo.

I was thinking the 351W 385HP GT 40 crate engine from Ford Racing, but I am open to ideas. Do you think a heavy duty t-5 would handle the power? If not what would you suggest? I realize that this would be an expensive project but after I am done and run it for a few years what do you think I would get for it? I like working on stuff and then trying new things.

Just weighing my options right now. The other thought is to dump some more cash into the 1990 and rebuild the motor and put in a supercharger and go have some fun.

Thanks for the replies.
