Capacitor

I had the same problem with mine. Best sloution is to get a capacitor from an electronics store and hook it up to your system. Theyr'e kind of expensive but it's better than replacing the alternator every once in a while.

yeah capaciter is one way of doing it. But if your alternater is keep dieing in such short period of time, i say even cap wouldn't help much...

i would get a higher rated alternator. we have the same problem with plow trucks.. they blow up alternators when plowing. ford offers high amp alternators for the crown vic with the 4.6 for the police cars. i am not sure if the plugs match up but i would look into that and see what the amp rating is for that unit compared too the stocker.

Where'd you get that "new alternator" from? Doesn't it have a warranty of some sort?

The stock alt. should be fine for that setup, but you can always go with a pa performance upgrade if you feel the need or have the cash laying around.
