just wondering if it would be possible to put in the current models, i know the blocks match, but they have a different computer for the different engines.

how could they not hold up to the torque, the 2005 stangs put out more power then the current stangs, and the should be able to handle more more then jsut stock.

I heard someone saying that the new auto tranny's fifth gear is a "band" like fourth gear. I don't know what they're talking about since I'm not into autos, but they said it's nothing to get excited about.

They could not hold up to the torque that I put out. That is what I ment to say. The eec 5 from earlier years dose not have the circuitry or extra drivers to make it work. That is the reason why you can't use a 96-98 eec 5 to use coil on plug ingnition. I doubt very seriously it could be built to withstand 500 hp. The 4 r 70w transmission can easily be built to handle 500+ hp

Totally disagree with that statement. Take a look at the ratios's of 5 or 6 speed auto and you will see the difference. Will agree with the $$$ only.

Okay, then for the money you would be MUCH better off with a nitrous setup, or putting it towards saving for a blower.
