I am doing the EFI swap to my '65 stang and am using a 1994 engine which uses no baro press. sensor. The only harness they have out for sale for this swap, require you to use the Fox Mustang engine stuff. Such as the TFI on the distributor and the baro press sensor. The '94 engine doesn't have either one of these. So, I plan on getting a Fox computer, TFI distributor, and a baro press. sensor. I know I can get a rebuild distributor fairly cheap from a parts store, so that's not a problem. But, can I buy a baro press sensor from a parts store? About how much would it cost?

I would also like to know how much it would cost to buy a computer from a Fox, to make it work with the new stuff I am going to need. Thanks.

I dont really know about the sensor, but if it's a stock mustang part you should be able to get it at a parts store, or if not the dealer should have it -- shouldn't be too much $$ if the store has it, who knows what the dealer would want.

As far as the computer goes, when mine went out I got one at the boneyard for $50 (88 speed density). But it depends which one you need, if you're using a 94 motor and you have mass air and such you'll have to get a mass air computer. I've seen them go on ebay for anywhere from about $75-150. Although thats for 90-93 mustangs -- not sure if 94 is different or not. I'd start with the junk yards though, if they have one it'll probably be your best bet.

Good luck

Oh, and if you need the 90-93 computer, you'll need either a A9L or A9P model, depending on whether you have a 5 spd or AOD. If you do a search for "mass air conversion" you'll get more info than you want to know on this topic.

Thanks kdog x. I have found a A9P computer currently going for $80. Also found a distributor that I need which has the TFI on it.

The reason I need all this stuff is because I am wanting to buy the custom harness from www.fordfuelinjection.com for my '65. It has all of the connections made for the 89-93 Foxes. Hence the reason I'm find a new computer, distributor with TFI on it, and BAP sensor.

HISSIN50, I thought so too. I hope the current MAF meter doesn't conflict with a Fox computer.

A very common mod for the Fox body 55mm maf is to replace it with the 94/95 70mm maf - plug and play according to folks that have done it. That would seem to indicate compatiblity...

If no Bap on 94/95's, how do they compensate for pressure changes with altitude?

Michael, i have no definitive answers. i have heard that it is integrated into the MAF. also a straggler or two thought it was read at the puter itself. i have no idea- just relaying what i have read.

wow, you seem to be on lots of 'altitude' threads lately. :)
hopefully this one does not go on and on and on. LOL.
