I am having some problems with my power drivers seat. Unfortunately, it won't move forward. I can't seem to diagnose the problem, so I've been looking at alternatives.

Does anybody know what years of mustang seats will fit in a 95 convertible? I was thinking of picking up leather ones from the wreckers. What is the most comfortable style for the years that do fit? Anyone has experience with racing seats? I can get a really good deal on some black Racespex Enzo seats but I feel like I am taking away some of the comforts and good looks.

My second question...its probably been debated a hundred thousand times.

What exhaust kit would someone recommend for a 95 GT? I want something that idles and drives at a constant speed quietly, but when you open it up it roars. I was thinking of Borla since their exhausts seem to be tuned well for it. However, I have heard they are expensive.

Any recommendations?

Thanks again!

As far as seats go you can put just about anything in there with some modifications but the 94-98s should be all identical and i believe the 99-04 will fit just fine.

Exhaust wise Borla is pricey but sounds great. I have some Magnaflows that were pretty inexpensive and are relatively quiet until you mash the gas and then its pretty loud.

It is too quiet imo for driving around town for my liking.

I've got a o/r X pipe and its still pretty quiet so it might be just what your looking for!

the problem with the power seat is that forward function on the switch is broken, you can fix it if u want to keep the seats u have. what i did in my car was cut the wire for raising the seat and spliced it to the forward function wire and presto. now when u push the button to raise the seat, it will go forward. sorry if my directions dont make sense, quick post, u can pm and ill talk you through it.

I have the Flowmaster Force II cat back on my car and it sounds good. Nice at idle and aggressive when you get on it. I did have the American Thunder system before that, but you couldn't hear yourself think while cruising down the highway!

The '99-'04 seats will fit in your car, but the power seat track in those cars is different from the '94-'98 cars, so it may not hook up to your car's harness. You could just ditch the seat track in favor of a manual track from a foxbody (which will fit with no modifications), locate a used power seat track that works (which is what I did with my '95 Cobra), or buy a brand new one. LRS sells a brand new power seat track for $479. The good thing about the manual track is that you can probably find one in any local junkyard for really cheap with little difficulty. It's all a matter of how much you want to spend.

Edit: As far as your question about which seats are better, my personal preference leans toward the seats that came standard in '94-'98 GTs and Cobras. They are a much deeper bucket and have much better (and adjustable) side bolstering than their '99-'04 counterparts ('99-'04 GTs at least).

And I would steer clear of Flowmaster if you're looking for a good exhaust that runs quietly at constant speeds. I personally love the sound of Flowmaster mufflers, but they tend to have that drone at highway speeds that most people don't like. I don't mind, so I always buy Flowmaster. Spintech mufflers actually have worse drone than Flowmasters. At least the Super Pro Streets I had on my '95 Cobra did. The drone was so bad that I replaced them with Flowmasters less than a week later. However, you might have better luck with some of their less aggressive street mufflers. Magnaflow also makes good sounding exhaust systems that don't really have any drone at constant speeds. They can also be loud when you decide you want to open it up. I personally can't stand the sound of Borla and Bassani systems. In my opinion, they are overpriced and don't sound as good as comparable systems. The sound of a chambered muffler compliments the sound of a Mustang far better than that of a straight-through type muffler. But again, that's just my opinion. I can't remember if Magnaflows are chambered or straight through; I just know they sound better than Borla and Bassani.

Flowmaster shouldn't be thrown out of consideration based on 1 muffler they make. The original 40 series is known for it's drone....but is probably the best sounding muffler for 5.0s.

The 3 chamber flowmaster muffler is a lot more friendly and would be my recommendation for you.

I've heard the flowmaster super 44's I think they are called. They sound amazing but it's just so loud.

I've heard the borla's with an x-pipe and they do sound werid but I've heard good things about their quality an engineering/design.

Can you get flowmaster or magnaflows in stainless steel?

I've only had the original 40s on all of my 'stangs, so I can't really speak for the other mufflers Flowmaster makes. If they make mufflers that have no drone, I would definitely recommend them. Nothing beats the "Flowmaster sound."

Yeah, you can get both in stainless.

I knew a guy who had a Borla stinger catback on an '04 Mach 1, and I swear it sounded like an import with a hint of Mustang.

My magnaflows are chambered btw so yes they are chambered but i do think they offer a straight thru exhaust as well.
