Hey guys. Had rear main seal done on my 87 fox body. Was original and leaking on garage floor for years. While they were in there I had them do the clutch. Even though I had it done once before, I checked my paperwork and it was back in 1997, 20 years ago. I just thought it was smart since they were in there anyway. Today while I was warming her up for an early morning blast to the bagel store, I heard a clanging sound at idle that sounded like it was coming from lower end of engine. Heart almost stopped. I jumped in the car, pushed the clutch pedal down, sound went away and never came back. That is the second time that has happened since having the clutch done. They put in a Spec Stage 2 clutch and a Spec Billet Steel flywheel. Any ideas wha that was I heard? Car NEVER made any noise like that before. And does it take a while for a new clutch to reach it's maximum performance level because I swear car felt a little quicker with the old King Cobra clutch. But that could also be in my head since I heard the noise and now am paranoid.
