OK toasted the 302 with tfs heads cam and intake, with nos, now my goal is to have 400 rwhp n/a, so my idea is this....forged 347, afr 185's, 1.72 rockers, same trickflow intake manifold, long tubes, same 24#r's, high flow water pump, electric fans, no smog pump, im not sure of cam yet thats really what i need help with...im thinking along the lines of a little more lift then a .542, i really wanna get this 400 rwhp and i know the cam is whats gonna do it, i will be sprayin on occasion(track) 100 or 125 shot but i want the 4000 rwhp without it and i wanna runs at least into the high 11's...what you guys think?

from my understanding(buddy of mine who has been building those 347's for about 5 years says the 185's will out flow the trick flows by a good amount unless i use the r type head or something like that....i totally trust him cause hes helping me build this thing for nothing so hes not making any money buy telling me to buy these heads

ok flow numbers AFR 185's at .500 lift 267 int. 186 exh.-- trick flow Twisted Wedge 242 int. 170 exh. Stage 1 ported Twisted Wedge 270 int. 193 exh. The trick flow heads are great heads, you will save alot in the end by sticking with them and investing in a good port & polish job.....

one more opinion...24 pounder's will be a little on the small side if you get close to your goal, and then add the funny gas and your in trouble fast. As for cam if you have the money can't go wrong with a custom cam, will make it much easier to get close to your goal's that you have set.

afr 185's will out power the TW heads depending on the combo. I woiuld have the TW heads cnc ported by fox lake or something and a have the cam grinder pick the valve springs. Then give them a clean up mill.

I don't have any track or dyno numbers from mine. It runs very well. No oil burning issues.

So you decided you aren't gonna use the TW heads? If not, I would suggest the victor jr heads. The afr 185's would work great, just IMO, the jr's will spank them with the right cam. Do not spend the extra cash on a forged crank, thats a good $300 you save by using a cast steel crank and you save rotating weight.

Which trickflow intake do you have? Let me know what you are definatly planning on and i'll set you up with a beast

You're on LI right, where abouts?
