Mine doesn't rev and lurch forward as that guy says. Nor does it almost die when coming to a stop.
So where is this TCC clutch solenoid? No mention of a fix or location.

Wow... Would've bet money it was a voltage problem. Well, thanks for giving my theory a go.
Is there any wiring near the coil, or any ignition signal, that could cause E-M interference?
Wish you could bypass the compressor. If unplugging it makes the problem go away, then that makes it a likely candidate. I get why you want to send the signal, now. Running the electrical current could at least replicate that, in case there is some weird short or interference.
When you test with the a/c compressor running at idle, have you revved to the RPM you'd be at on the highway?

Maybe you’ve already tried this, but what about running a completely separate power source to the AC clutch to see if it engaging is creating the problem or the system engaging the clutch is the source? Maybe a dumb idea.
I like creative ideas. Separates the electrical signal causing interference from the mechnical drag of the clutch.

I do not have the money to lose a second car to bad transmission in two months.

I would rig a wire directly from the battery to one side of the clutch and another wire into the passenger compartment, and while driving, ground that wire, engaging the clutch. Another unlikely thing to check; see if the ground wire from tje clutch plug is where the diagram says it is (on the diagram I posted). Ground are another of those things that create weird outcomes if they’re broken or not well connected. Just further ideas.

Test the plug to the compressor. Does it have constant 12v when car is on? If so then just ground the other wire and compressor should engage.

Unless I’m reading that diagram wrong, the clutch is not engaged by grounding it. It’s engaged by sending it 12 V through a whole host of control systems.
Ok, let's think about this
2 cylinders miss fire when ac turned on at speed.
New coils... No change.....
Have you done these tests...
Swap coil on one of those cyl to a cyl that stays firing.......
Monitor voltage when this happends.....
Raise RPMs to cruising speed with ac on, in park.....
Also try looking under the hood for any spark scatter, or jumping to ground.
Again, I got spoiled having access to a quality scanner and the Alldata system for diagnosing issues.

Hang on now. The shop had the live data scanner and once the coils were swapped there was no more misfires.
Let me add this.... The first day i drive the car to check it out, i came back and told me friend that i felt something weird at highway speeds. And i told him it felt kinda transmission like to me but surely i can't get two bad ones in a row.
It does feel like the guy in the referenced thread said. Feels like overdrive is trying to flip back and forth.... Sorta. So i don't know. I appreciate the reply sir! And i will see if there's a scanner i can borrow that shows actual live misfires and drive it like that.
Some good news....i just sold the mustang wheels and tires (and the spacers) that i put on it. So glad to have that money back.
We shall keep going. Thanks all.

Maybe drive the car, locked in 3rd gear and test it so the OD or Lock Up will not engage? Maybe you’ve already done that.
Yeah. It does it still with the OD button showing "off" on the dash. That should be 3rd, right?
